There are six questions on the test that you will solve without a calculator. You may use a calculator on the other twelve.

There are two questions on the 7-8 math page that you may find interesting. If you choose to work on them, be sure to show all work or mention that you used your calculator.

Solving Absolute Value Equations

I found a nice explanation on coolmath. You may want to read this before you start on your homework. At the bottom of the page, you can go to the next lesson. Solving inequalities is there. You need to look at a couple of next lessons.

When Will theTest Be?

You are at the end of the chapter. According to some comments posted tonight, the majority of you want the quiz on Friday. That's fine by me.

I think that the test should be next Tuesday or Wednesday, your choice.

Homework:

1. Finish all of Lesson 4-8.
2. Spend 35-40 minutes on the Chapter 4 Self-Test.

The End of Chapter 4

Inequalities require you to think about two inequalities at the same time. Read carefully and come to class with specific questions. Watch for the words and and or.

Of course, you all have finished all questions in Lesson 4.6 by now.

Solving Inequalities

Don't mix up properties of equalities with properties of inequalities.
