Inequalities

Solving inequalities is as easy as solving equations except for one big difference. Can you explain what that difference is?

  1. Lesson 3-6, Covering & Review
  2. Quiz on Wednesday, Lessons 3-4 through 3-6.
  3. Chapter 3 test on Friday, the last day of the trimester.

    The inequality has more then one answer.... the equation only has one (unless you did the problem wrong!)

    Out of mandie, miss tan, goldie locks, lovebug, and rachelle, who saw me rocking out with the turkeys?!?! I had a hug audience and it was only me and the turkeys on stage!! It was a lot of fun! The dance should be on news channel 4 later today!

    It was before all the races and before I did the warm up..... there were a ton of people (13000) so you might not have been able to see it.

    I LOVE THANKSGIVING!!! we ate soooo much food... and we have like 4 days worth of leftovers :) its amazing :D

    i just found out there is an easy way to multiply a 2 digit number by 11!!

    To multiply any two digit number by 11:

    * For this example i'll use 72.
    * Separate the two digits in your head (7__2).
    * Notice the blank between them!
    * Add the 7 and the 2 together (7+2=9)
    * Put the resulting 9 in the blank so you get 792.
    * 11 x 72=792

    It's only different if the sum of the digits is greater than 9, you only put the "ones" digit in the blank and carry the "tens" digit from the addition. For example 11 x 57 ... 5__7 ... 5+7=12 ... put the 2 in the blank and add the 1 from the 12 to the 5 to get 6. You should get 627. 11 x 57 = 627

    There's also a way to multiply any number by 11 (even if it's more than 2 digits), but it's really confusing...

    the difference in a inequality is that there is usually more than one solution whereas in an equation there is one solution
