Solving Absolute Value Equations

I found a nice explanation on coolmath. You may want to read this before you start on your homework. At the bottom of the page, you can go to the next lesson. Solving inequalities is there. You need to look at a couple of next lessons.

Homework:

Lesson 4-9, Covering the Ideas.

  4. # 15 is similar to #14. The expression INSIDE the absolute value bars (called the "blob" on coolmath) must be greater than 1/2 or must be less than -1/2. This is the "or" situation and you must solve two inequalities.
