Enjoy the Snow...some more!

How is everybody? I wonder what the probability that we would not have school all week was last Friday when we had school?

I am having problems uploading the answers that I scanned. You need to check the answers to the odds in the back of the book. Ill give you the evens from Lesson 5-6 as best as I can type them in.

Lesson 5-6, Covering, answers:
2a. 1,996,415; 2b. about 4.8%; 2c. about 0.488; 2d. 0.5; 2e. answers vary depending on your family.
4a. 25; 4b. 4%; 4c. 48%; 4d. 52%; 4e. complementary

Homework for today, Thursday:
Finish Lesson 5-6, Applying and Review. I'll post the answers tonight or tomorrow morning.

Homework for Friday:
Read Lesson 5-7. Pay very close attention to the meaning of percentile.

    I found a mistake on page 291 in the example... In the data on the previous page it says that one player is 67 inches and in the plot it says that the player is 65 inches.

    Does anyone know if we are having a ski trip on Monday?? :)

    Yes, you do need to do the guided example.

    Nice catch on the mistake, alinicbr. Everyone else needs to make the change. Cross out the point at 65 on the dot plot and move it to 67.

    I haven't heard anything about the ski trip and I'm one of the chaperones.

    If everyone does their homework, I'll bake you all some cookies next week :)

    The ski trip is definitely canceled but some people are trying to organize a ski trip monday for anyone who can come. Also good spotting alinicbr! cookies that Mrs. Burke make are yummy!

    Yes the ski trip is canceled, and just like kacie said, people are trying to organize to go skiing monday --for those who can.

    I have a question about number 2. I got 1,996,415; instead of ...425; but i got all the other answeres right, and i checked my work...
